The Märklin dealer initiative (MHI) wants to celebrate ‘100 years of the 01 series’ with the Intercity locomotive series 101.  This series has also long since passed its zenith and is currently being phased out. Märklin's probably last advertising locomotive on its locomotive body is both a highlight and a farewell. We were there exclusively, followed its creation and were allowed to compare the hand-made models with the original. You can read a detailed report in Trainini 7/2025.
