Azar Models with an innovation

In the February issue, we will also be presenting some new products from Azar Models. One important innovation has already been announced and was presented at a trade fair in France. It is called Magnetiz and is an innovative coupling for Z gauge. It significantly reduces the coupling distance of bogie cars compared to Märklin's ‘Hummer scissors’ and will make it even easier in future to produce the pivot distances of in-house cars exactly to scale, instead of shifting them to the centre of the car as Märklin does.

What makes it special, however, is that these couplings do not require the compression spring used by Märklin and can therefore be plugged into the coupling shaft. This means that they can be exchanged at any time for a standard system coupling, thus maintaining compatibility with Märklin models.
