Classic vehicles at JMC Scale Models

A useful lorry and a genuine German classic car are new at JMC Scale Models.

The Volkswagen LT with high roof from 1975 is a true classic among German commercial vehicles. It was used for decades by many companies, including the German Federal Post Office and Federal Railway, as well as various emergency services. The striking face resembles the smaller T3 van, which rounded off the panel at the bottom. The vehicle was later inherited by the first generation of the Sprinter, which was built in co-operation with VW and accordingly had a Wolfsburg offshoot.

The Henschel HS 34 TAK dump truck is a reminder of the glory days of the Kassel-based company with the star. Back then, Henschel not only built locomotives, but also lorries and buses. This was later done together with Hanomag as ‘Hanomag-Henschel’, but today these vehicles have long since disappeared from the streetscape. The blue and red paintwork follows the traditional colour scheme of commercial vehicles across brands.

Both models are accurately produced by JMC Scale Models from resin and are an excellent addition to the layout. It is planned to present selected models from this small series manufacturer at the Trainini Anniversary Exhibition 2025.
