The 410 series marks the return of a former world record-breaking multiple unit in Z gauge. We take a closer look at the new edition.

Shortly before Christmas, Märklin delivered the revised reissue of the Intercity Experimental, class 410, for the MHI (item no. 88716). After the multiple unit, whose prototype set a world record in May 1988, was originally supposed to be available in the spring, we took a close look to see whether the additional time taken by the manufacturer had been used for optimisations. We answer these questions together with important information about the prototype in the December issue.
