Inexpensive spray gun

The manufacturer Sparmax from Taiwan had already aroused our interest at the 2024 toy fair: It has been part of the well-known company Anest Iwata (Japan) since 2018 and offers equally outstanding tools as a low-cost secondary brand. We were particularly interested in the SP-20X model, which is predestined for precise precision work with its 0.2 mm nozzle in Z gauge. We were able to carry out a few exercises with it and were impressed by how well it felt in the hand and how easy it was to control.
Arguments in favour of this device, which first appeared in 2018, include the unscrewable 7 cm³ flow cup, which leaves a smaller paint trough when removed, as well as the simple conversion of the ‘double action airbrush’ to so-called ‘single action’. The latter term means that the airflow constantly flows through the spray gun and is not opened and controlled by pressure on the mixing lever. The lever therefore loses one of its two functions and is then only used to control the flow of paint.
This is exactly what helps beginners to familiarise themselves with the tool and to do their first exercises without fail. All that is required is to replace the air supply valve with an enclosed replacement part. This step can be reversed at any time.
In combination with the comparatively very favourable price for a tool of this quality, this makes an introduction to air brush technology very interesting. And Sparmax also offers complete basic equipment from a single source with equally favourable compressors.
