Märklin: 1st autumn release delivered
- Created by Holger Späing
The heavy Henschel DH 4000 diesel locomotive (item no. 88323) was designated as locomotive “Nr. 30” on the Hersfelder Kreisbahn. The former V 320 was deployed there, following its service with the DB, on heavy potash transport routes in the German border zone. Matching freight wagons have also been announced. This new release is part of the revised series of these models and consequently features improved engine room lighting and lower-set buffers. A new feature is the prototypical pot-type antenna for shunting radio, mounted above driver’s cab 2, which it did not yet possess whilst in service with the Bundesbahn.
As the first new release of autumn 2026, this superb model in an orange livery with a blue decorative stripe and the HKB’s characteristic shadow lettering is now available in shops.
