Märklin: Blue Gentian on its way
- Created by Holger Späing
The five-carriage set “Blauer Enzian” (item no. 87615) has now been delivered. The steel-blue carriages of the former Henschel-Wegmann train are now marked for the early Era III with a simple DB logo instead of the Ege-biscuit emblem. In this version, the long-distance express train was still hauled by a Class 01 tender-tank steam locomotive (88015), which had already been delivered previously. A notable feature of the carriages now available is the direction-dependent tail lights on both end carriages. To achieve this, axle contactors, a circuit board with LEDs and new light guides have been fitted.
