Märklin:The DB classic has finally arrived!

The V 60 is a new design which, after 54 years, finally matches its prototype exactly.

A V 60 had been part of Märklin’s catalogue range since 1972. However, its running gear was incorrect at both ends, and the bodywork was also marred by numerous compromises. As a result, the locomotive resembled its prototype without coming anywhere near matching it. That is now finally a thing of the past, as the newly designed shunting diesel locomotive – the DB V 60 334 (item no. 88651) – has at last arrived in shops.

With its balanced proportions, bell-armature motor, LED headlight, replica driver’s cab, immaculate paintwork and detailed, scale-accurate markings, the model is very much in keeping with the times. And we can reveal this much: we were also impressed by its running performance. A detailed test and report will follow!
