New products from Noch in April

Noch has delivered cars and figures from its 3D-printed ranges, at least in small quantities.

In late March and early April, a number of 3D master figures and car models from Noch’s 3D printing range became available. However, these must have been very small quantities, as despite reports from retailers, the manufacturer’s stock status has long since returned to ‘out of stock’. We can therefore only briefly highlight two new releases here, introduced in 2024: two VW Beetles in yellow and light blue (item no. 44605) and the Hunters and Lumberjacks (44503).

Whilst the figures make a more convincing impression overall than the first editions, the vehicles do not quite reach the standard familiar from other production processes. The layers of the print remain visible, and details appear less sharp. If they are placed on the layout at a distance of 15 to 20 cm from the viewer, this should be put into perspective and their advantages (recognisable occupants!) should come to the fore – please note: our photo shows the model magnified several times to reveal its inner workings. The pack of figures mentioned, which arrived at our premises, revealed its manufacturing method less clearly and appeared barely translucent even at close range, i.e. it now has better opacity. They should therefore be able to hold their own in the forest without any problems.
