Sale-off at Spur-Z-Ladegut Küpper
For 30 years, Josephine and Helmut Küpper played a decisive role in shaping the Z gauge. Hand-made loads of various types and for many wagons in the Märklin range as well as individual models from FR Freudenreich Feinwerktechnik were their speciality, which also gave the company its name (translated to English: "Z-gauge Freights"). They also sold used models, their own Märklin advertising wagons and, above all, original spare parts. A few years ago, they retired from the trade fair and exhibition business due to their age, which prompted us to present them with the honorary award from our editorial team in 2019 to mark the company's 25th anniversary.
On the third Advent, the certainty now follows: In the year of the 30th anniversary, business operations are to end on 31 December 2024. From now on, the goods in stock will be sold off and there will be no more new ones. This news struck a chord in the Zetties community and left its mark. We currently have no reliable information on the background to this sudden move.
