The beet campaign is underway

In keeping with the season, Märklin has released the ‘Beet Transport’ train set with a V 36 locomotive from the Verkehrsbetriebe Grafschaft Hoya (item no. 81773). The set also includes three open wagons and a hard cardboard kit for a mobile beet loading facility. Using the example of the two open Eo 017 type supplementary wagons (82396), we show how convincing the replicas of the sugar beet loads used in each case are.

The Class 103 high-speed locomotive is now also available as a DB Museum vehicle (88546). This version of the 103 113-7 locomotive with a purple-red painted frame is delivered in a wooden box. The body has been injection moulded from metal-filled plastic to increase weight and traction performance.
