Märklin deliveries in July

  • Created by Redaktion

In July, a number of new models were already on the dealers' shelves, including the special model intended for the European Championship final.

The ‘Carbide bottle wagon’ pack (item no. 82092) is intended for Era IV and can be used to recreate an eye-catching and prototypical transport between the SKW Trostberg works. The five freight cars with brakeman's platforms can be sensibly hauled by the eagerly awaited class V 90 shunting locomotive, ideally in an Era IV version that is sure to follow soon.

With the eight-part ‘Sgns container wagon’ freight wagon display, a new design from the previous year can be usefully extended to form a modern KLV block train. The included carrier wagons are assigned to different railway administrations, therefore also have different colours and are also loaded very differently to match: Container types, owners and lengths vary. This means that not all of the wagon's stands are always utilised, which further breaks up the train's appearance.

A few days before the European Championship final in Berlin, the class 185.2 electric locomotive (88488), a special model intended for this occasion, went on sale and is sold out at the factory. As a special feature, this locomotive without a road number and inscriptions has genuine gold-plated single-arm pantographs.

Shortly before this report was written, the three-part package with three compartment coaches of the Prussian-Hessian State Railways arrived (87568). The models, which are predominantly painted brown and labelled for 3rd class (only one car: 1st / 2nd / 3rd class), are intended for use with the recently delivered class P 8 steam locomotive.
