Trainini 9/2023: The man is himself!
It is quite strange: Märklin has three of the large standard steam locomotives in its range that were built before 1930. However, for 51 years now, there has only been one tender to go with them. And its prototype dates back to the first year of construction in 1939. The gap in time that cannot be represented is more than a decade large, into which the heyday of the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft falls. That cries out for self-build, doesn't it?
Jochen Brüggemann also missed his dream model and resorted to self-help. In this issue, he completes the construction of the Ottbergen tower. In Schramberg, on the other hand, the construction is ten times bigger. The Black Forest Railway Museum, however, has found Z gauge to be the perfect contrast to the home-built models on display there.
Exciting and colourful themes with a "red thread": Our current literature suggestions also delve into the steam locomotive era and focus on the era of the Deutsche Reichsbahn. Enjoy reading, hopefully the long wait was worth it!
