Z gauge layout at the On traXS!

For the second time, a 1:220 scale layout was invited to the exhibition in Utrecht. In the proven form of this event, own applications are not possible: Only the best of the best will be shown.

After a few years of enforced break and a short change of the organisational form, the On traXS! in Utrecht has returned to its proven roots, which have made this exhibition so well-known and valuable: Free applications are not possible; instead, ambassadors of the model-making collective Mitropa travel through Europe looking for suitable works. Only what fits the exhibition concept and fulfils the high demands on topics and design make it into the selection of exhibits that are invited to this fair. For the second time, a Z-gauge layout has now gone through this process and will be shown at this year's On traXS! It is the "Boisschot Statie" layout by Pieter Willems and Jan van Casteren, which was on display in Altenbeken in 2022, received a good response and was also awarded our 2022 Editorial Prize in the Exhibits category.

On display is this fine piece, along with many other layouts and operating dioramas, at the Utrecht Railway Museum (Netherlands) from 17 to 19 March 2023.
